Professionally:
An aspiring User Experience Designer / Interaction Designer / Information Architect. At least that's what I've discovered aligns best with my personal interests and inclinations. Over the past seven years, I have accumulated a broad range of experiences in interaction design, user experience work, usability research, and software development projects at the Ward of the 21st Century, the Interactions Lab and other cutting-edge research labs at the University of Calgary and at the University of Paris-Sud XI France.
My academic background includes a Master of Science in Computer Science, a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in English, and course work in psychology. For my Masters thesis, I focused on interactive visualization of volume interiors in a virtual reality CAVE. Project details are on my Portfolio page.
Personally:
If you want to find me off-hours, you might find me traveling, mastering a variety of fibre arts, beading, hanging out with friends at the local tea shop, or mulling over some design conundrum (be it coffee machines, parking meters, knitting needle cases, Halloween costumes, or scrapbooking). Always looking for better ways of doing things, I'm never bored!
